Technical Project Manager (TPM) is a role that combines Senior Java (technical) skills with People and Project Management responsibilities. A TPM should be able to:
Process and clear requirements given by the business in different forms (specification, backlogs, etc.) using different communication channels (email, skype, phone, etc.)
Consult and propose suitable technical solutions and work on requirements architecture, alone or with the support of colleagues.
Make commitment on budget and time, providing estimations for the requirements and proposed technical solution.
Manage Scrum like team to implement the requirements and proposed technical solution in iterative and incremental approach (regular delivery of working increments).
Work in close collaboration and strong communication with other TPMs and colleagues.
Guarantee high quality, test coverage and client satisfaction.
Keep track on latest technologies and methodologies.
Relevant university degree – Business and/or Information Technology.
At least 2 years of professional experience either as a client facing team leader or project manager
Serious development experience with Java and Java EE projects. Still making development and technical decisions is a strong advantage.
Experience working in a commercial product development environment.
Have a clear and perceptive vision about the business environment.
Strong interpersonal skills – team oriented person, who is able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients.
Very strong analytical thinking.
Organized and detail oriented, prioritization and efficiency.
Understanding of the banking business or previous experience in the sector will be considered an advantage.
Fluent in English language.
Good knowledge in French is considered a plus.
